What is Quick Picks Portfolio?Quick Picks Portfolio is a tool as well as a service which combines the power of Securities Trading and Portfolio Allocation to invest in a portfolio of stocks created by the Reliance Securities Research Team with a few clicks of the mouse.
How does Quick Picks Portfolio feature work? The Quick Picks Portfolio feature essentially consists of selecting the desired Portfolio by the customer and then specifying the number of Quick Picks Portfolio that the customer wishes to purchase. Thereafter the customer has the option to either INVEST in the Portfolio in case he/she has enough ledger balance to meet the investment amount or ALIGN his/her existing Demat holdings. A detailed step-wise working of the Quick Picks Portfolio feature is given below:STEP-1SELECT:The customer will select the Portfolio in which he/she wishes to invest. The system will display the quantity to be purchased for each of the scrip’s in the basket as per the exposure assigned to the scrip and the price of a single basket. For Example: The price of a single basket of stocks is Rs.25,000 and the exposure assigned to Infosys is 10% and if the price of Infosys is Rs.2,500/- then only 1 stock of Infosys will be there in the Basket.STEP-2CALCULATE:The customer will then select the number of baskets of the selected Portfolio that he/she wished to purchase. The system will calculate the amount required to be invested based on the price of a single basket. In the above example, if the customer wants to purchase 5 baskets then Rs.1,25,000/- is required to be invested and 5 stocks of Infosys will be there in the cumulative Basket.STEP-3INVEST:The system will display a confirmation screen to the customer. Once the user confirms, subject to availability of Cash balance in the clients’ ledger, market orders for the requested units of stocks in the Quick Picks Portfolio will be submitted to the Exchange. The customer will be able to view the order status of each of the stocks in the order book and upon successful execution; the same can be viewed in the trade book. As per the T+2 settlements cycle the stocks will be delivered to the customer’s demat holdings.ALIGN:On selecting the ALIGN option the system will run automated program which will pull the stocks in the Demat holdings that are available for sale. Stocks will be pulled from Demat Holdings as per the following logic:On selecting the ALIGN option the system will run automated program which will pull the stocks in the Demat holdings that are available for sale. Stocks will be pulled from Demat Holdings as per the following logic:Stocks in Demat which are not a part of the Quick Picks Portfolio selected by the customer.
Stocks in Demat which are a part of the Quick Picks Portfolio but are in excess of the proportion specified in the Quick Picks Portfolio.SELL:On selecting this option system will pull the stocks available in demat holdings that are available for sale based on the selected portfolio. Customer can modify/deselect the stocks from the portfolio and can even change the quantity but not more than the portfolio quantity or available demat holding. Customer can place limit or market order as per his preference and can view the status of the order in Order book.
What is the minimum amount to be invested in Quick Picks Portfolio? The minimum amount to be invested in Quick Picks Portfolio depends on the price of one basket of the stocks selected by the client. The price of one basket of the portfolio is a function of the exposure and the market price of each of the stocks in the portfolio. For e.g. If a single basket of the Portfolio has 4 stocks of Infosys and 2 stocks of BHEL, assuming that the Market price of Infosys is Rs.2,500/- and the market price of BHEL is Rs.300/- then the unit price of the basket is Rs.10,600. As the market price of Infosys and BHEL change during the day the price of the basket will change. So, if the price of Infosys and BHEL changes to Rs.2,600/- & Rs.350/- respectively, then the price of the basket will change to Rs.11,100. The price of a portfolio displayed in the system changes with a delay of 5 minutes
